Apply Apriori Algorithm in Supermarket Layout Research

Based on the purchase data of consumers in a supermarket in Fuzhou, China, this paper mined strong association rules with Apriori algorithm, and found out the rules of consumers' purchase through support degree and confidence measurement. The results show that the method is used to extract effective information and quantify the degree of correlation between products to obtain hidden association rules, which can be used as the basis for improving product layout. It can apply support degree to guide purchase, strong rule degree to generate impulse purchase, promotion degree to bundle sales, association rule to carry out discount activities, etc. This study can provide reference for supermarkets to improve business performance and humanized service.
