An Interleaved Isolated DC-DC Converter with Active Clamped Circuit for EV Applications

This paper presents an interleaved dc-dc converter (IDC2C) with active clamped circuit for the electric vehicle (EV) applications. A high voltage gain stage is required in the power take off electrification systems in the vehicles. In this paper, the IDC2C configuration provides high-voltage gain, low ripple current, and less device stress on th converter components. The proposed converter primary switches and snubber switches are turn-on with zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for full-battery charging operation. MATLAB/ Simulink for 2 kW, 80 kHz is used for validating the operation and analysis of the converter.
