A Compensation Method for the Array Antennas Mutual Coupling

A method of mutual coupling compensation for array antenna based on measured patterns is studied. By analyzing the coupling matrix, the conjugate gradient method is used to fit the two sets of pattern data. Estimate the coupling matrix and perform weighted coefficient compensation to minimize the effect of mutual coupling on the sidelobe level. Taking the -30dB Taylor weighted directional pattern as an example, the one-dimensional equal-spaced side-fire array with coupling is compensated through simulation. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are verified, and the low sidelobe pattern in line with expectations is obtained. This method is simple to operate and has certain reference value for the realization of the low sidelobe pattern of the array antenna.
