The Memristor Laser

Here we demonstrate the first-ever semiconductor laser with non-volatile tuning functionality. A GaAs-on Silicon quantum dot laser is integrated with an Al
₂
O
₃
memristor, which results in lasing mode being manipulated by memristor states. The memristor controls the microring laser output wavelength in a non-volatile manner.
