Process Identification and Model Order Reduction of Industrial Lime Kiln Process

This research work is primarily based on an industrial sub-process, called the Lime Kiln. The purpose of lime kiln is to carry out the conversion of CaCO
₃
into CaO which is highly required in many chemical industries. First of all, the mathematical model of this process is obtained by system identification technique of MATLAB .Hence, the obtained higher order model is simplified by reducing its order by using model order reduction technique in MATLAB, and corresponding lower order models are obtained and compared with the original model.
