Survey on Parking Guidance, Methods and Techniques

With the rapid advance on new emerging technologies and deployment of smart applications to drivers in navigation and parking, the solutions dedicated for smart parking have been increased. In this paper a Systematic Literature Review focused on the software side of smart parking systems is presented. More specifically about the strategies used to search for a parking space and the path to find an available slot. After the search process, eighteen jobs were reported. From these papers, different methods and techniques used to manage the information about vehicles and parking lots in an urban setting are reported. The resulting evaluation on the state of the art will be used to find open issues for future projects.
