Statistical Inference for Lomax Model based on Inverse Moment Estimation Method

Based on complete samples, the point and confidence interval estimation for the parameters of the two-parameter Lomax distribution are studied by using inverse moment method. The inverse moment estimators are derived, and the exact confidence interval of the shape parameter and the exact joint confidence region of shape with scale parameters are also obtained. Finally, a simulation example is given to illustrate the application of the proposed method. Simulation results show that the inverse moment estimators are also good estimators.
