A Diagnostic and Health Management System for Rolling Bearing in Axle Box of Bogie

The diagnostic and health management system are crucial to the monitoring, diagnosis, prognostic, and maintenance of large rotary machinery. In this work, we design the modular hardware based on PXI-bus and the architecture of software platform, and then develop a diagnostic and health management system. In particular, the fault detection performance for rolling bearing in axle box of bogie is studied. After the verification, it is shown that the system could be effective to identify the fault location of rolling bearings.
