Holt-Winters Predicting Model of Energy Meter Based on Optimal Smoothing Coefficient

To optimize the distribution network of energy meter, this paper proposes a Holt-winters predicting model based on the optimal smoothing coefficient to make a more scientific demand prediction of energy meter. Firstly, the Holt-winters model is introduced in detail, and then the golden section method is applied to select the optimal smoothing coefficient. The Holt-winters model is applied to fit the demand of a single-phase energy meter in a provincial grid from 2015 to 2017. Finally, this model is applied to predict the demand in 2018 and compared with the truth value. Thus, the effectiveness of the model for the demand prediction of energy metering instruments is verified.
