The regulating characteristic analysis for distributed electric heating load in Northern China

The space heat demand is huge in northern China, and the electric heating load control is an effective way to solve the problem of renewable energy integration and environmental pollution. But the attention on modeling for distributed electric heating (DEH) load in a multi-story building in northern China is lacking. This resulted in the difficulty of quantifying the scheduling capacity for flexible scheduling demand of power system. Thus, the regulating characteristic model of DEH load was proposed through the construction of multi-story building heat transfer model and building room aggregation theory. Lastly, the adjustable capacity and flexible regulation capacity of DEH load will be calculated and analyzed.
