Service Restoration Strategy of Active Distribution Network Based on Power Router

The power router (PR) based on power electronics technology can flexibly control the power flow, coordinate the power transmission among AC power, distributed generator (DG), distributed energy storage device (DS) and load, and also replaces the traditional tie switch, so it will play a significant role in the service restoration stage of the distribution network. This paper proposes a service restoration strategy considering frequency stability for active distribution network based on PR. Firstly, considering the fuel reserve limitation of DG and residual energy limitation of DS, the objective of service restoration is proposed to ensure the continuous power supply of as many high of priority loads as possible. Then, considering the time-varying characteristics of photovoltaic power generation, wind power generation and load, a service restoration strategy, which can balance the active power and stabilize the frequency, is proposed to ensure the power supply quality in the fault recovery stage. Finally, a system with a PR managing DG, DS and local load is utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
