Application of Differential Evolution Algorithm to Optimal Control Problem with State Variable Constraints

The tenacity of this paper was to test and search for an efficient solution by solving optimal control problems that are expected to obtain from local solutions. The goal was achieved by studying and considering the performance of an evolutionary method like differential evolution (DE) algorithms. The main objective function considered in this paper is the performance index. This index is minimized using DE while obtaining the best position of a manipulator model with a single link. The simulation results indicate a significant reduction in performance index in comparison to an existing method.
