Design and Analysis of a High Step-Up DC-DC Converter Fed Grid Connected Fuel Cell System

The integration of fuel cell to the utility grid provides a more viable and cleaner energy source in the near future. It will provide an answer to meet the rising energy demands without adding stress on the conventional energy sources. In this paper, a grid-connected fuel cell system which employs a high step-up DC-DC converter is proposed. A least mean squared based power control has been used for the grid-connected fuel cell system to control the active power fed to the grid along with the power to a critical load. The model of the system has been simulated and analyzed in MATLAB/Simulink platform and the results are produced for validation.
