Speak-up Against the Spread of Corruption: An Analitical Modelling Using Multi Agent System (MAS)

The spread of corruption in Indonesia is growing every year. This growth is not only due to weak government oversight, it turns out the character of each member of the legislator also affect each other. In this research, we will simulate how corruption can spread using multi-agent-based modeling. Legislative member data will be calculated based on the number of non-corrupt members, members of the corruption suspect, to members accused of being corruptors, and the number of investigators (in Indonesia the agency is called the KPK) who investigating corruption cases. Of these, each character is modeled in the form of agents that can influence each other. The result will be seen in comparison of the percentage of active and passive legislators speak-up the problem of corruption with the increase or decrease in members affected by this case. From the results of this study, as many as 60% or more legislators who actively speak-up against corruption, will more than prevent the rate of corruption by more than half.
