Evaluation methods on charging safety for EV power battery

The charging safety of electric vehicles is increasingly important while the number of electric vehicles swelling. Power battery's charging safety assess result is dominating in the whole charging safety solution. This paper firstly introduces the present situation of charging safety, and then describes the complex structure model and analyze the charging safety mechanism of power battery. After that, all kinds of safety evaluation parameters and methods about power battery are summarized to reveal the advantages, disadvantages and accuracy of each other. Finally, the shortcomings of the current evaluation methods about charging safety are discussed and then the direction of improvement is indicated.
