Dual Polarized OAM Multibeams Metasurface for Terahertz Applications

In this paper, a reflective metasurface has been designed to generate multiple orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortex waves in terahertz regime. Each element consists of cross I-shaped structures and a ground plane in the bottom separated by a silicon dielectric substrate. Based on its good ability to control reflection phase independently, the reflections are designed to be OAM vortex waves in different directions with different OAM modes. The simulated results show that multiple OAM vortex beams can be manipulated by a single metasurface with shared apertures, which can be a promising solution for OAM wireless communication diversity technology.
