Abstract:

This paper represents a rover design, which is controlled using human brain waves (EEG). Brain-computer interfacing (BCI) technology is followed for developing this rover. Neurosky mindwave mobile 2 headset is used for acquiring the desired brain data, which is wirelessly connected with the rover. The headset gives the output of attention level and number of eye blink based on EEG wave. The rover uses this attention level and eye blink to control the rover wheel and a 5 Degree of freedom (DOF) rover arm. This rover arm is implemented on the top of the rover body. The user controls the rover wheel and arm by changing the attention level and giving a different number of eye blinks simultaneously. This rover could be used to move an object from one place to another by controlling both rover arm and wheel portion. This rover has a real-time IoT based pulse monitoring system and Smoke detection system with GSM-based SMS alert.
