“Smart” 3D Electromagnetic Modeling

Techniques for “smart” 3D EM modeling are briefly recollected and described. By applying these techniques to a 3-layer printed dipole antenna, which is coaxially fed through finite sized reflector, the number of unknowns in MoM/SIE approach is reduced for an order of magnitude with negligible loss of accuracy. Such minimalistic model enabled full wave simulation of array of 28 by 28 elements at PC computer.
