The Position and Speed Detection of Linear Synchronous Motor Based on Vernier Caliper Principle

As a new type of rail transit, maglev traffic has shown a rapid development momentum. This paper designs a scheme that integrates the functions of position, speed and height measurement for maglev train. The principle of improving accuracy of the scheme is introduced in detail, and the coding law considering height also is analyzed. Finally, the scheme was applied to practical motor, and the effectiveness in improving accuracy was verified by MATLAB simulation.
