Components of the Communication System for Metro Trains Control

In this paper presents the components of the train on-board equipment and the corresponding wayside equipment when Communications Based Train Control CBTC is used. The principle of operation of the communication system is mainly considered. Possible standards and criteria for selection of the radio communication system to be used are specified. WLANs meet the requirements and are described in more detail. Scheme and description of the roaming process of the transmission of the train from one radio cell to the next, when the radio of the train communicates with the wayside equipment, is given.
