Data Analytics and SME Performance: A Bibliometric Analysis

Considering the significance of SMEs in the developing countries, this study is being conducted to understand the trends of data analytics in SMEs. The bibliometric analysis was used to understand the trends. The findings revealed the scarce research is available in the developing countries. The work of data analytics is abundant, however, limited regarding SMEs. But when it comes to the developing countries the work is almost missing even in the countries that are considered as a hub of SMEs. The findings of this bibliometric analysis also opened the ways for new research by strongly suggesting the need for exploratory research in the field of data analytics in the developing countries. Secondly, the analysis also revealed the need for research in the field with strategic orientations of SMEs in the developing countries.
