Abstract:

This paper is aimed to the study of the field dependent resistivity layer deposed on insulator surface as stress grading material, using one-dimensional model based on equivalent electrical network. This model allows computing electrical field and potential distributions. The influence of some stress grading material characteristics is investigated and simulations results showed that field dependent resistivity gives better potential distribution yielding the lowest maximum electrical field.
