A weighted positioning method for high-frequency ground wave bistatic radar

Many kinds of measurements like time of arrival (TOA), time difference of arrival (TDOA), received signal strength (RSS) and Angle of arrival (AOA) have been used for target localization in recent years. In this paper, target localization based high-frequency (HF) ground wave bistatic radar is considered and a method called weighted localization based on the accuracy analysis of positioning is proposed. The proposed method gives a reasonable weight to every algorithm and can get an accurate estimate of target localization. The analysis is consistent with the experimental result of the simulation. Simulation results show that compared with the existing algorithm, the given weighted algorithm has higher positioning accuracy and better robustness.
