Internet of Things Enabled Approach for Hygiene Monitoring in Hospitals

The advent of technology has shown promising solutions in the field of health care. Hospitals are the hubs for treating patients of varied diseases. Though hospitals offer treatments to patients, there is a lack of interest shown in monitoring hygiene of the hospital premises. In this paper, we have proposed a framework, to monitor the hygiene of the hospital premises. This scheme employs the adoption of cleanliness monitoring in Prime Points (PP), dust level monitoring on the floors and air quality monitoring inside the hospital premises. The data collected from all these sources is analyzed by the central controller and based on the decision making process, report is generated and the staff personnel is alarmed. The proposed approach improves efficiency, profit and provides better risk management.
