Analysis of Instrumental Errors Influence on the Vector Magnetometer Calibration

The paper proposes the vector magnetometer calibration algorithm based on the root-mean-square residual minimization method. This method provides the magnetic induction vector magnitude measurement error less than 0,001 nT when the magnetic induction vector projections are taken for their 50 angular positions. It has been shown that instrumental errors of an analog-to-digital converter effect on the magnetometer calibration parameters. However, these errors have almost no effect on the magnetic induction vector magnitude.
