Analysis of Tasks of Forming Thermal Imaging of Electrical Devices

Following the recent trends of electrification in aviation equipment and automation of aircraft systems managing electrical energy distribution, this article tackles the tasks of “thermal images” implementation in equipment diagnostics and failure prediction. Main causes of change of thermal field of electrical devices and consequences of their overheating are considered and analyzed. Main methods used to measure temperature of electrical devices are considered and their disadvantages are revealed.
