An Approach for Securing MQTT Protocol in ESP8266 WiFi Module

The paper presents an approach for communication between ESP8266 modules based on MQTT protocol using simple non-secure class for implementing the WiFi protocol. Encryption based on Advanced Encryption Standard - 256-bit symmetric encryption algorithm was implemented in order to achieve simple secure communication. In addition, a pseudorandom generator was used to introduce asymmetry of the cypher data transmitted through the protocol.
