Demodulation Using Block and Data Flow Based Object Oriented Approach

Demodulation aims to extract message information from modulated signals. It is implemented by software using digital signal processing algorithms. Demodulation is of great importance in Communication Electronic Support systems. In this work we present design and implementation details of software specifically written for demodulation of analog signals. Demodulation must be handled in real-time. Frame based data is processed in real-time by software. Software is developed in object-oriented manner achieving high reusability and portability. Embedding signal processing into blocks makes unit testing easy and gives us flexibility in implementing desired functionality by simply connecting blocks together. Software runs both on realtime embedded systems and general-purpose systems thanks to its modular, lightweight and low-dependency design.
