Narrow-Band IOT NPRACH Channel Coverage Analysis for Unmanned Air Vehicle Base Stations

In this study, we aim a coverage analysis for unmanned air vehicle (UAV) narrow-band IOT (NB-IOT) networks. We first build a realistic physical layer model for random access channel (NPRACH), and calculate the required signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) for channel detection. While modelling the fast fading effect of the channel, we assume high user mobility. Afterwards, we investigate the coverage radius with respect to these SNR values.
