Currently, Russia is increasingly using low-power power plants that are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks in close proximity to electricity consumers, making the distribution network active. In active distribution networks, there are a number of problems associated with changing a operating modes of the network: - a direction of power flows along power lines becomes possible in both directions; - the ratio of operating currents to short-circuit currents depends significantly on the operating mode of generating units included in the distribution network; - multi-way recharge of the short-circuit point becomes possible; - there are previously non-typical modes for distribution networks, such as swinging, asynchronous running.
