A Single Model Characterization Framework for PV Performance Optimization

Single Model Characterization is a framework applicable to both Predicted and Measured PV system performance and includes both Operational and Event based losses. The method has been applied to >2000 inverter-months of measured performance data. The paper describes the characterization framework and its application to several characterization challenges, including performance benchmarking, issue identification, predictive modeling improvement, soiling and degradation characterization.
