Multi Channel Acquisition and Scope of Analysis of Surface EMG signals

Our study focuses on design and fabrication of multi-channel (ideally 8-Channel) sEMG acquisition (Surface EMG) device using an Instrumentation amplifier AD620 for its low noise applications and extract sEMG signals from a cluster of test subjects, observe their muscle patterns, primarily focusing on its scope in leg muscles with its target points near Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Calf muscles, and analyze multiple gait patterns to study the cause and effects of Knee Osteoarthritis. Also, an efficient multi-channel data visualization and analysis tool on MATLAB has been designed with the sEMG device as mentioned above, working in tandem. The device will have the provision of I2C communication and with the help of this, simultaneous acquisition and parameter analysis of multi-channel signals can be achieved, which plays a key role in biomedical signal analysis.
