A Learning by Doing of Weight Unit Conversion-Serious Game for Elementary School Students

This research development aimed at developing a Serious Game-based learning media and determining validity level of the media. This serious game named Captain Math. Captain Math encompassed as a learning media for the weight unit conversion of elementary school students. The development procedure implements the first three steps of 4D model: define, design, and development. Captain Math consists of three stages and level of difficulties. We did Validity and UAT test to the game. Validity and UAT test involving experts and students of fourth grade elementary school. Validity test score for learning media is 26 and gets a valid category, then a validity test score for the learning material of 28 and gets a valid category. Students looked interested and enthusiastic in playing the game. From these results, it can be concluded that Serious Game: Captain Math meets the criteria as a good learning media.
