Dynamic Analysis and Control Strategies of an Anti-lock Braking System

Anti-lock brakes (ABS) is a lively safety system implemented in every new car to stop the wheels from locking during heavy break conditions. The prevailing ABS controls have the power to manage the extent of pressure to optimally maintain the wheel slip within the vehicle stability range. However, the ABS exhibits strong nonlinear characteristics. The vehicle equipped with the prevailing controllers can still have a bent to over steer and become unstable. The main objective this paper is to explore the dynamic analysis of antilock braking system by describing its main components, control strategies, and methods.
