Experimental Study for the Influence of fault Characteristic Gas on the Internal Pressure of Oilless Electric Equipment

In this paper, a method to motor or predict the faults in oil-less equipment, as bushing and current transformer, is proposed in this paper. According to the Ostwald coefficients of the seven fault characteristic gases in the transformer oil, the influences of different characteristic gases to the internal pressure of the oil-less equipment is calculated theoretically. From which, it could be found that the increase of H

, CO and CH4 has the most significant impact on the pressure. The results are verified through experimental investigation. By monitoring the variations of the internal pressure of oil-less equipment, some defects in the equipment could be detected, which may avoid the further fault and damage foe the equipment.
