Abstract:

This paper proposes a phase measurement method of Maximum Torque Control Reference Frame for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMSMs). The phase angle provides an optimum current vector in terms of torque control performance for IPMSMs with large inductance variation. Therefore, it is significant to measure the accurate phase angle. We verified that we can get the phase angle from torque ripple through simulations. We confirmed the effectiveness of this method by simulation.
