Solar Based Automatic Watering System on Buoyancies Using IoT

This paper presents solar based automatic watering system on buoyancies using internet of things (IoT). The watering system is on buoyancies that can move forward and backward. Solar cell is used to be mainly energy source and Arduino Uno is used to mainly control the proposed system. It consists of two parts that the first part is on the buoyancies with on the water and the second part is on the ground. The value of soil moisture optimization on ground is set by the program that shows on mobile phone by using Blynk application with can select automatic or manual mode. For the automatic mode, the first part is to know when and how much to water the vegetable by the second part. Then, two nozzles on the buoyancies with on the water is turned on for watering and moving the system that on the buoyancies forward and backward to water when needed. This system makes planting more self-reliant by watering itself. Moreover, the proposed system can be directly controlled on mobile phone for watering and moving the buoyancies forward and backward on manual mode.
