Effect of Film Processing on the Capacitive Performance of Poly (Vinylidene Fluoride-Co-Hexafluoropropylene) Copolymers

Four kinds of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) [P(VDF-HFP)] films were prepared by different preparation and processing methods. The crystal phase, dielectric properties and storage characteristics of these films were studied. The biaxial stretched P(VDF -HFP) film achieves high discharged energy density due to its high breakdown strength and low loss. These results provide us a guidance to achieve P(VDF-HFP) copolymers with high discharged energy density for high electric energy storage applications.
