A Cylindrical Linear Valve Electric Motor for the Executive Mechanism of Material Application Research

The article deals with the study of cylindrical linear valve electric motor for the executive mechanism of direct application of materials. The determination of friction forces of the secondary element against the inductor at various inductor constructions is carried out. The secondary element friction against the inductor occurs due to the presence of "gravity force". The working force of a cylindrical linear valve motor is an axial force, which creates a reciprocating motion of the secondary element. The "force of gravity" is caused by the displacement of the secondary element of the cylindrical linear valve motor against the inductor axis. In this case, the gap between the inductor and the secondary element is uneven. Experimental studies have shown that the "force of gravity", and thus the friction, is significant. As a result, the resulting friction must be taken into account in the work of the CLEM. On the basis of experimental data it was concluded that it is necessary to use non-magnetic centrifuges. They are arranged in a certain way to reduce friction forces. It was decided to change the design of the inductor to an axisymmetric one. As a result, the "force of gravity" and the value of friction are significantly reduced. Also considered ways to increase the specific thrust, which reduces the real length of the engine, reducing its size.
