A Threshold Denoising Method for Ultrasonic Signal Based on CEEMDAN and Spatial Correlation

The strong noise in the ultrasonic signal of coarse-grained materials is difficult to be effectively eliminated by traditional denoising methods. A threshold de noising method for ultrasonic signal based on Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise (CEEMDAN) and spatial correlation is proposed. The ultrasonic signal is decomposed into a series of intrinsic modal functions (IMFs) by CEEMDAN, and then the IMFs to be processed are chosen adaptively by the CMSE criterion. The local correlation coefficient between the corresponding IMFs of the ultrasonic signals from adj acent detection points is calculated as the reconstruction coefficient of each IMF after being thresholded, and finally the noise-reduced ultrasonic signal is obtained. Simulation analysis results show that the proposed method has significantly better de noising effect than the comparison methods, and the reconstructed echo signal is more accurate.
