Contrast Enhancement of Mobile Phone Camera Using Multi-Scale Feature Map

This paper presents a contrast enhancement method using encoder-decoder network. To prevent the imbalanced amplification among color channels, the proposed method incorporates multi-scale feature maps estimated from an input low-contrast image in an encoder network. Experimental results show that the proposed method can enhance a low-contrast image without brightness saturation, color distortion, and noise amplification than existing methods.
