Application of Large Strain Fiber Grating Sensing Technology in Aircraft Structural Health Monitoring

Aircraft structural strain monitoring is the core of aircraft single life control. It has important economic and military significance to accurately record the fatigue damage degree of the key and dangerous parts of each aircraft structure, accurately predict the remaining life of aircraft structure, and realize state-based aircraft maintenance. This paper around the optical fiber sensing technology is applied in aircraft structure monitoring is studied, through the distribution of optical fiber sensors according to certain forms in key, dangerous parts of the structure, laying structure strain monitoring, record the degree of fatigue damage, developed a set of aircraft structure fatigue critical parts based on the technology of optical fiber sensing strain monitoring system. The key technologies of equipment miniaturization, signal demodulation and precision realization are mainly solved. The system has prominent advantages of light weight, small volume, corrosion resistance, electromagnetic interference resistance and wide measurement range.
