CubeSat compatible Fiber-Optic Gyroscope

We report the design, construction, and test of a compact fiber-optic gyroscope (FOG) for cost-effective low-earth-orbit CubeSat applications. This medium-grade FOG is developed by the integration of a miniaturized (16-mm long) multifunction integrated optic circuit and a streamlined feedback electric-optical control logic module. The whole structure layout of the FOG has been carefully designed and optimized to effectively reduce the weight of the unit in a 1U (10x10x10 cm
