Control System of Portal Car Wash based on the Mamdani Fuzzy Algorithm

Based on the analysis, the article defines the main technical and organizational measures necessary to improve the control system of portal car wash. A mathematical model of fuzzy control of a car wash was developed by software control of the water supply depending on the shape, geometric dimensions and degree of contamination of the car, in order to reduce water consumption and improve the energy efficiency of the portal wash. The Mamdani algorithm is proposed and implemented in the MATLAB software product as a fuzzy inference algorithm. The rules of the fuzzy inference system are formulated based on the knowledge and experience of experts, as well as modeling the operator's work. Formalization of the description of the water supply, shape, geometric dimensions and degree of contamination of the car are carried out by specifying of linguistic variables. The proposed mathematical model can be used in the design of control systems for other types of automatic car washes.
