Investigation on the Application of Virtual Education for Engineering Students in the Energy Industry

Technologies of engineering education today are aimed at increasing the relationship between theory and practice, which has been greatly weakened over several decades due to a number of serious economic problems of universities. For example, there is a discrepancy between laboratory stands in educational institutions of higher education and the current state of science and technology. This leads to the fact that there is a noticeable bias towards theorizing of knowledge in the study of engineering disciplines, while practical skills in equipment installation are extremely important for technical profiles. One of the modern ways for solving this problem can be interactive virtual laboratory stands. Such stands have a number of indisputable advantages: mobility, prompt updating, maximum visualization of processes, multifunctionality, etc. The paper examines the relevance of implementing such a program into engineering education. In general, the investigation is devoted to the development of a laboratory training electrical installation stand for power supply of consumers having different categories of reliability.
