Numerical Simulation of a Piston Engine Supercharging

The modification of the Godunov scheme using non-stationary gas dynamic functions is proposed. The method allows solving a gas dynamics hyperbolic system of equations in a one-dimensional formulation. The developed numerical scheme was applied for modelling pressure wave supercharging process in a diesel engine 1Ch8,5/11. There is a good agreement in calculation results and experimental data.
