The Results of Electromagnetic and Thermal Measurements in the Framework of the Energy Audit of the Educational and Laboratory Building

This article is devoted to the research conducted in the framework of the energy audit of the educational and laboratory building of Polytechnic Institute (branch) of North-Eastern Federal University in Mirny. The authors analyzed the results of measurements carried out in the second half of 2019 during the energy audit of the premises of the educational and laboratory building. The study was subject to the values of the electromagnetic and electrostatic fields; lighting in the classrooms; heating switching equipment of the educational building; indicators of electric power quality of the educational and laboratory building. The purpose of the study is formulated and objects are selected. The methods and means of research, including modern meters and analyzers for conducting energy audits, are described in detail. For all types of measurements, GOST standards and rules governing the methodology and analysis of measurement results are given. As a result of this work, the following was revealed: in the studying areas, the levels of electrostatic and electromagnetic fields don't exceed the norm; the problems with natural light in some classrooms were identified; the heating temperature of the switching equipment doesn't exceed the critical values for the equipment; the quality of electrical energy of the educational and laboratory building meets the necessary requirements. The conclusions were made about the feasibility of continuing the energy audit activities and new directions of the scientific research were set.
