Research of Constructing Variations of the Reactive Power Measurement Transducer, Based on the Integration-Differentiation Method

Currently, the most informative parameter of reactive power is the reactive power of fundamental spectral component. The most stringent requirements are imposed on the accuracy of measurement this parameter for modern power quality devices and energy measurement devices. To measure the reactive power of the fundamental spectral component, the measurement methods of sinusoidal signals can be applied, provided with the additional filtration by low-pass or band-pass filter. It is known that among the reactive power measurement methods of sinusoidal signals, the so-called integration-differentiation method has the greatest accuracy. The main source of error of this method is associated with the frequency deviation of the input signal. The influence of frequency instability can be significantly reduced by adjusting the parameters of the integrator and differentiator. The paper considers the options for development of the measurement transducer of reactive power based on the application of this method. A comparison of the implementations complexity and the achieved measurement accuracy of the proposed approaches is completed. By using the Simulink software, a simulation model of the considered approaches to the implementation of the measurement transducer was developed. Analytical relationships are obtained that allows the calculation of the parameters of the integrator and differentiator, as well as the achieved reactive power measurement error. The reliability of the obtained analytical expressions is confirmed by the coincidence of the results of simulation and analytical calculations at control points.
