Research the Possibility of Using Russian Cryptographic Algorithm in the ZFS File System

This article represents the research the possibility of using Russian cryptographic algorithms in the ZFS (Zettabyte File System), which is an open source project. The interaction of Linux, ZFS, and the Kuznechik cipher was explored. Information about either existing ways for solving such problems was gathered and examined. The ZFS, its features and encryption methods were considered. An encryption module was created to be inserted into the source code, its performance was analyzed. Comparison of the speed of the system with various crypto algorithms was done. The results were analyzed and conclusions were made about the further progress of the research.
