The Tingley’s Box Method to Construct the Stator Winding Matrix

In the electrical machines design, some classic calculation tool recipes have been used without knowing their origin or authorship. This work aims at addressing the often used technique of balanced three-phase windings design with the Tingley's box expeditious procedure, referred as the Least-Common-Multiple-Diagram, using modern computational tools. Distinction between geometric, electromagnetic, and electrical angles is made and the induced voltages phasors are presented with examples along the manuscript. Winding factor natural obtaining from the winding matrix is shown in the annex.
